Old Street Historical and Cultural Tour Traditional Market, Temple Belief, Traditional Architecture
Longshan Temple was built in the third year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1738 AD). It is a classical Chinese palace-style building. In 1985, the government announced that Longshan Temple was a second-class historic site protected by the state and it was listed together with the National Palace Museum and the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall as the three major scenic spots for international tourists to travel to Taiwan. Longshan Temple regularly holds festivals and folk activities every year, such as the first lunar month lantern exhibition, the Buddha's Birthday often known as “Bathing the Buddha Festival” on April 8th every year and the Hungry Ghost Festival in July. People who come to Mengka Longshan Temple can not only appreciate the beauty of Taiwanese temple architecture, but also experience traditional folk customs.
Today we set off from Taipei, along the Suhua Highway, the scenery along the way is beautiful.
Qingshui Cliff is located in the 22.7-kilometer section between Heping and Qingshui in Xiulin Township, Hualien County. It is mainly composed of marble, gneiss and green schist, hundreds of meters high and is the most shocking scenery on the Suhua Highway. Landscape is the spirit of the Suhua Highway and it has become one of the eight wonders of Taiwan. In addition to being the most spectacular scenery on Huadong Coast, Qingshui Cliff is also a great place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. It is a famous scenic spot in Taiwan.

Shitiping Recreation Area
Due to wind and seawater erosion, the coast of Shitiping has the appearance of a natural ladder, rich in coral reefs and tropical fish. Various seaweeds, fish, shrimps, shellfish and other marine life grow in the intertidal zone, making Shitiping become an excellent place for observing the rich ecology of the intertidal zone, diving and fishing.
Ride through Chishang Avenue to admire the beautiful rice fields (bike ride included). At lunch time, we will taste the best rice in Taiwan at Chishang, Taiwan's best rice town.
Taitung Jialulan Coastal Park
Jialulan is the name of an Amis tribe. In the Amis language, it is called "kararuan", which means a place to wash your hair, because the nearby stream is rich in sticky minerals. After washing your hair, it will naturally moisturizing and bright. A group of east coast art creation enthusiasts gather here in the form of a market, sharing their dreams and lifestyles, exhibiting and selling their creativity. There are also many installations in the park, which always attract many passers-by to stop and take pictures.
Longpan parrk is a park with primitive landscapes, grasslands, strange-shaped reefs and endless oceans. You will be amazed by the power and charm of nature when you walk there. Be careful for the strong wind and many cliffs around it.
Today we can go to the beach to swim before checking out. Then we will drive to Kaohsiung, the second largest city in Taiwan.
Cijin is an outlying island in Kaohsiung, where we can take a ferry to. It is a different feeling to look at Kaohsiung City from the ferry. There are restaurants selling snacks and seafood everywhere on the old street. There are more types than Kaohsiung City, so many citizens living in Kaohsiung will also come to Cijin on weekends.
The British Consulate
It was built in 1865 and has a history of more than 150 years. It is a Baroque architectural style in the post-Renaissance era. Here you can see the ships entering and leaving Kaohsiung Port and you can also enjoy the sunset in Xizi Bay. Now it has become a Cafe House!
Fo Guang Shan
We will head to the stunning Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Hall, a massive religious complex containing eight stupas and the magnificent meditation hall, in which a 108-meter-high statue of the Buddha of Compassion overlooking it.
We will head to the ancient capital of Tainan to visit ancient buildings and temples, including the oldest Confucian Temple and Anping Fort. Before we return to the hotel to end the day, we will explore around the city and enjoy delicious food.
1. Sun Moon Lake
Sun Moon Lake, which is poetic and picturesque, combines the beauty of humanity and landscape and is an internationally renowned scenic spot. Sun Moon Lake has four public piers: Shuishe Pier, Dehuashe Pier, Chaowu Pier and Xuanguangsi Pier. Take a leisurely tour by bike or take boat tour around the lake. The road around the lake is about 30 kilometers long. Cycling at various scenic spots along the way can not only keep fit, but also experience Sun Moon Lake and its beautiful scenery leisurely, which is another way to experience Sun Moon Lake. It is located in Ren’ai Township Nantou County, with an altitude of about 1750 meters. The whole territory is in the Hehuan Mountains. Walking on the broad grassland, sheep flocks shuttle among them, the fresh air, the green grass and the magnificent scenery of Hehuan Mountain are all in front of you.

Chung Tai Chan Monastery
Chung Tai Chan Monastery is located in Puli Township, Nantou. It has been actively promoting Buddhist culture for many years and has established Buddhist foundations and universities, rooted in every area of Nantou. The main body of Chung Tai Chan Monastery was designed by famous architect Li Zuyuan. With a total area of about 26,000 square meters, the park is a building combining Chinese and Western elements. There are many solemn temples in the Chung Tai Chan Monastery, dedicated to Buddhist gods.
After finishing the tour of Chung Tai Chan Monastery , we return to Taipei.
